Warren Newsom's Vision

Warren Newsom has submitted to almost every Superhero of the Month contest to date. His dedication is appreciated, and we're happy to post his new take on the Vision:

Warren Newsom's Vision
"While I think his classic look has an iconic elegance, I decided to take a shot at giving him a different look.  I never did like the white costume, so I decided to go dark.  I also made his head and face a little less human looking."

What do you all think? Let us know in the comments below!

  1. Awesome, a true redesign and an attractive one at that!

  2. That is a complete departure of what my favorite synthezoid looks like, but still says Vision. Great stuff

  3. Something about the face really makes me think "Iron Man" - but everything else is amazing!

  4. I'd keep everything up to the green chinstrap but I'd have kept the classic red face. Visions "humanity" has always been played up a lot in the comics. Some yellow might be nice and I'd also bring back the red diamond on his chest.

This is awesome in its simplicity though, nice job.

  5. Far far too much black. People always want to go dark with character designs nowadays, that is not always the answer.

This looks more like an alternate design for Obsidian, from the DCU, than it does for the Vision.

There is modifying an existing look in positive ways so that the character is still recognizable, and there is throwing the existing look out the window and hoping that what you come up with as an alternative is at least equally appealing.

This obviously attempts the latter, and fails I might add.
