Jorell Rivera's Invincible

Our Atom Eve and Project: Rooftop's Invincible contests turned out a lot of fantastic redesigns of some of Image Comics' most recognizable superheroes, and this piece by Jorell Rivera goes to show that great interpretations of the Invincible family just keep coming.

Jorell Rivera
"I had a couple of ideas: One, I wanted to make him look like more of a superhero, because why not. These are superhero comics; why can't someone wear a cape and their underwear on the outside while fighting fifty foot robot monkeys? (I may have been dealing with some of my anger over the new costumes for many DC heroes, including Superman, with this design) Two, since he's apparently always getting the snot kicked out of him (he had his intestines ripped out during one battle) I thought it would be good for Invincible to have some armor. But I wanted that armor to look kind of futuristic and sleek as well. Don't ask me how it all stays on his body. It's just alien magic science."

What do you all think? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned for more redesigns as the month presses on.

Remember, you can send in your Avengers redesigns any time, but keep in mind that they won't be posted until May. For details on the Avengers contest, please click here.
