Stephanie Brown, how we miss you! Many fans fell for Stephanie as she grew and matured, inhabiting the roles of Spoiler, Robin IV, and Batgirl III. Since the launch of DC's New 52 initiative, Stephanie Brown's only appearance has been in
Batman, Incorporated: Leviathan Strikes!, and that issue was explicitly stated to have taken place pre-New 52. With Stephanie out of the picture for now -- it
is comics, so never say never, right? -- we asked readers to send in their Stephanie Brown fan art, depicting her in any of her identities. Here's what we got.

ReplyDeleteAt Heroes Con in Charlotte a few weeks back, the DC panel announced that Steph would be part of the new Smallville series and a loud applause went up in the room. It's sad that they have since decided not to do that and to replace her with a character that is already featured in her own title.
Suggestion. In lieu of the fact that Stephanie Brown is no longer part of the New 52 DC Universe, maybe we should do a fan-art special for another highly beloved character who has been erased from existence in the new DC Universe. That character would (and should, in my opinion) be Wally West, the original Kid Flash and second Flash.
