Our friends over at Batman-News.com have started covering the upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us game, and recently posted video and stills featuring Catwoman:
Personally, this redesign doesn't fire on all cylinders for me. The boots here look goofy, as do the half-sleeves, not to mention that the corset is completely extraneous. I appreciate the idea of protective armor, but personally, I think the Arkham City design handled this much, much better.
Across the pond, John Cassaday has rolled out some designs for Marvel's NOW! initiative, and they were featured on MTV Geek. Let's take a look:

But hey, what do you think? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned for more from Superhero of the Month!

None of these designs work for me. Is Marvel going to go back to jackets and trenchcoats? Capes and tights are part of the superhero genre. Blue jeans and raincoats just aren't going to cut it.
ReplyDeleteAnd Catwoman looks like a video game character.
I agree - these are awful, can't believe Cassidy designed them. Havok is the worst - hated that from the first preview cover, the mask is awful - referencing the original headgear just doesn't work here. The rest of it just doesn't gel well at all.
ReplyDeleteRogue is only ok but it seems a (few) step backwards.
Scarlet Witch is only recognisable due to the headgear - the design isn't too bad in that the look might work for another character - but it just doesn't say Wanda in any capacity.
Well I strongly disagree with the first commenter the designs are great to watch...as far as the video games graphics are concerned these are the best designs I have ever come across..
